Our identity: Vincentian volunteer groups

GVV Lombardia is part of the Vincentian volunteer groups, a network of Catholic lay people inspired by the example of St. Vincent de Paul, the saint of charity and concrete love for the least among us. Our commitment stems from the desire to put the Gospel into practice through simple, everyday gestures that are deeply meaningful. Vincentian volunteer groups operate throughout Italy and are also well established in the local area, actively contributing to the voluntary sector in Lombardy. Each group acts at a local level, in collaboration with parishes, Caritas and other ecclesial organisations, offering a listening ear, material support and spiritual closeness to those in need.

Our commitment to volunteering in Lombardy

Through activities such as food distribution, home care, educational support for minors, and accompaniment of elderly people living alone or families in difficulty, we seek to respond in a concrete way to people's needs. At the heart of our service is always the dignity of others, which we recognise and value in every encounter. Our volunteering consists of a silent but constant presence, guided by Vincentian spirituality and a strong sense of community. We operate with discretion, respect and humility, confident that every small gesture can make a difference in the lives of those who suffer. If you would like to join the Vincentian volunteer groups or learn more about volunteering in Lombardy, please contact us: there is always a need for open hearts and helping hands.
