The service, personally requested by St. Vincent, provides home visits for those receiving assistance, with the aim of making them feel part of a large family and alleviating the sense of loneliness that can arise during particularly difficult moments in life.
Volunteers are able to clearly understand people's needs and can intervene in a more appropriate and targeted manner.
Another form of visit is to people who are alone in nursing homes or protected facilities (RSA) or in hospital for special care/treatment. Often these people have no one to look after them during their stay, and the presence of volunteers from the GVV Lombardia Groups can make up for this lack, maintaining a human and personalised approach.
Home visits are not only a health service, but also an opportunity to offer a listening ear, reassurance, and continuous support throughout the care process. Each intervention is designed to respond to the specific needs of the patient, maintaining a human and personalized approach.
In this way, home visits become a fundamental tool for improving quality of life, supporting families, and offering a stable point of reference for those experiencing illness, loneliness, or disability.
