The GVV Lombardia Listening Centers are open, welcoming, and confidential spaces where anyone experiencing difficulties can find a friendly voice, practical support, and guidance toward appropriate sources of help.
They are active throughout the region to identify emerging needs, offering a place for people to meet and talk, where they can express their doubts, questions, and concerns or simply share a moment in their lives.
The centers are run by trained volunteers, often supported by social workers and professional counselors, in collaboration with public and private services in the area. This network allows us to respond more comprehensively to the needs of those who turn to us.
Who we are
We are women and men who put our time, heart, and skills at the service of others. We welcome, listen to, and accompany each person on a journey of awareness and renewal. Our commitment is based on empathetic listening and putting the person at the center.
Who we listen to
The GVV Lombardia Listening Centers are used by:
- people in economic or social difficulty
- people who are lonely or isolated
- people who are going through a period of confusion or fragility
- those who do not know where to turn for help or information
What we do
At our Listening Centers, we welcome everyone, without prejudice or discrimination. We offer attentive, confidential, and non-judgmental listening, because we believe that every story deserves respect.
In addition to listening, we help people navigate the available services, putting them in touch with social and health care facilities, social services, public agencies, and local associations to build a concrete and effective support plan together.
