Milan Gateway to Solidarity Early Childhood
Service launched in 2017 for young families with children aged 0-3. A play area, a shop selling food and hygiene products, parenting support courses, financial education meetings, job orientation courses and help with writing CVs, and counseling courses for specific situations were organized. Support for social procedures.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, this service was temporarily suspended, but resumed in 2024 through participation in the project “PIT STOP - Ripartiamo dalla Porta della Solidarietà” (Let's start again from the Door of Solidarity), funded in part by the Fondazione di Comunità di Milano (Call for Proposals 57) and in part by the associations that have joined this new revival of the Door of Solidarity, believing in the value of the service. Educational activities, a listening center, and the distribution of clothing and basic food items for both children and adults are planned, as well as Italian language courses for foreign mothers and second-generation children, in addition to other complementary activities.
